In a case of utter negligence a nurse gave a wrong injection to a 7-year old child in the municipal L G hospital.
The boy died after 15 minutes. The boy had a mole in his nose and was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night.
In the morning the nurse gave an injection to the boy after which he died. Angry parents lodged protests with the Superintendent of the hospital. He assured them that he would take the matter with higher ups.
The boy Anivesh Ali Saiyed from Ramol was under the treatment of Dr. Meeta Bhathla. She examined him in the night and prescribed some medicines. Early morning around 6.30 am the nurse gave injection to the boy which turned to be fatal.
Leader of opposition in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Badruddin Sheikh condemned the incident and demanded that a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh should be given to the family of the boy. He demanded that strict action should be taken against those responsible for the incident.
