Gujarat gets 15 new trains

The state will get 15 new trains including five premium trains.

This was announced by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge while presenting the Railway budget for the year 2014-15. No change in fare or freight has been made.

The new five premium trains are :  

  1. Nizamuddin – Madgaon AC Express (Bi-weekly) via Kota, Vadodara,Vasai Road 
  2. Yesvantpur - Jaipur AC Express (Weekly) via Gulbarga, Pune, Vasai 
  3. Road , Vadodara,
  4. Ahmedabad – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express (Tri-weekly) via Palanpur, Ajmer, Rewari 
  5. Bandra – Amritsar Express (Weekly) Via Vadodara,Kota, New Delhi, Ambala 
  6. Bandra (T) – Katra Express (Weekly) via Vadodara,Kota, New Delhi, Ambala 

Besides the Minister announced eight express trains for the state. They are:

  • Ahmedabad – Katra Express (Weekly) via Palanpur, Jaipur, Rewari, Hisar, Bathinda, Amritsar 
  • Ahmedabad – Lucknow Jn Express (Weekly) via Palanpur, Jaipur, Bandikui, Mathura, Kasganj 
  • Ahmedabad – Allahabad Express (Weekly) via Jalgaon, Khandwa, Itarsi, Satna,                       Manikpur 
  • Bandra (T) – Lucknow Jn Express (Weekly) via Vadodara,Kota, Mathura, Kasganj 
  • Bhavnagar – Bandra Express (Weekly) via Ahmedabad 
  • Bhavnagar- Delhi Sarai Rohilla Link Express (Weekly) 
  • Gandhidham – Puri Express (Weekly) 
  • Kanpur – Bandra (T) Express (Weekly) via Kasganj, Mathura, Kota, Vadodara, 

One MEMU train:

  • Anand – Dakor (Daily 2 services) 

One DEMU Train: 

  • Morbi – Maliya Miyana

  • Dahod – Modasa
