Ultimately, President of Gujarat unit of National Students Union of India(NSUI) Adityasinh Gohil has been arrested for having a dummy student appearing for him in LLB examinations.
Gohil who was among seven students who were involved in dummy scandal was evading arrest for last two days. These seven students had dummy students in the LLB semester-1 examinations in Rajkot.
They were caught by Gandhigram police with help of exam supervisor Liyakat Hussain Saiyed at Harivanadana college affiliated to Saurashtra University.
One of the dummy students was Sohil Fakirmohammad Jeriya who was appearing in examination in place of NSUI president Adityarajsinh Gohil on seat no.11393. College staff was involved in the scandal. Police says Harshad Gondalia, Vishnu Bharad and Sagar Babaria administrative staff of the college had made arrangements for dummy students.
On complaint of Liyakathussain Shekhawathussain Saiyed, Gandhigram police booked seven students under IPC section 419, 465 and 114. While five accused were arrested and released on bail, Adityasinh Gohil and Syndicate member Chandrakant Hirani’s son Vivek Hirani were absconding. They were arrested today. Saurashtra University has canceled the examination center at Harivandana college.
