Gujarati film “The Good Road” nominated for Oscars

National award winning film “The Good Road” has been nominated in the best foreign film category at next year’s Oscars.

In the 80 year old history of Gujarati cinema this is the first film to go to Oscars.

Gyan Correa’s “The Good Road” is a lost and found story of a small boy. The boy is lost while his family is on a trip to the desert of Kutch. Though later he was found. The film saw strong competition from films like recently released “Lunchbox” which has received acclaimed reviews, “Bhag-Milkha-Bhag” and “Vishwaroopam”.

The film has been produced by National Film Development Corporation and stars Keval Katrodia as seven-year-old Aditya, Sonali Kulkarni and Ajay Gehi. It is the dbut film of Correa, the 40 year old director.
