The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch a statewide campaign in Gujarat from January 26 for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Announcing this after a two day meeting of the state unit, its coordinator Sukhdev Patel said that the campaign named Jhaadu Yatra will target at misleading campaign by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who is PM candidate of the BJP.
APP has questioned the silence of Modi on Janlokpal Bill and asked him to tell public his reason for making changed in state Lokayyukta. He said that party has its set up in 19 of the 26 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Member of AAP national executive committee, Dinesh Vaghela said that before the results for Assembly polls were declared, there were 5,000 active AAP members. However, after the party's credible performance in Delhi Assembly election where AAP pocketed 28 out of 70 seats, the party's membership has risen to 17,000.
