The Aam Aadmi Party Gujarat has made a detail plan to mobilize voter support in the state in a five day programme starting January 26.
In a media release the party said that it will take out a jadhu yatra in all the 26 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state with the aim to sensitize the voters about the betrayal of Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of ‘Hind Swaraj’, real freedom, by the successive governments at the center and in the state.
The yatra, to be flagged off from the statue of Indulal Yagnik, the leader of the Maha Gujarat movement, will culminate on January 30, in front of the monstrous Mahatma Mandir, at Gandhinagar, which the Narendra Modi government has constructed spending crores of rupees and which has been the venue of his ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ global summits.
“While Gandhiji was assassinated on January 30, 1948 by a fanatic, his ideals of taking the fruits of freedom to the poorest of the poor are being killed every day the Modi government,” said Sukhdev Patel, the state convener of AAP.
The Jhadu Yatra will be simultaneously flagged off in all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies and will traverse through all the 182 assembly segments between January 26 and 30. Every day, the party will hold two public rallies in each of the assembly constituencies.
All the 26 jhadu yatras will converge at a place on the outskirts of Gandhinagar on 29 January and march to the Mahatma Mandir the next day. A leader of the national AAP will flag off the yatra while an eminent person will attend the finale.
