Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has promised employment to 1.2 crore people in India every year.

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has promised employment to 1.2 crore people in India every year. Presenting the budget proposal for 2009-10 the Finance Minister has said that all the employment exchanges would be online.

The GDP growth rate was 6.7 percent last year and it has been decided to take it to 9 percent.

He has promised to make tax system more simple and to bring back the Saral form. Bharat Nirman one of the most favorite programme of UPA has got 45 percent more budget allocation. There will be disinvestment of Listed government companies through share markets.

There has been increase of 80 percent in budgetary allocation for JnNURM schemes.
