PDPU gets land for expansion

Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has got 109 acre land to expand its present 17 acre campus in Gandhinagar. The PDPU signed an agreement with Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA) for the land at a cost of Rs 200 crore. The land more than six times the present one is for the expansion of the University campus to increased its capacity of students and to take up more activities. Energy and Petrochemical department has made a provision of Rs 500 crore for the expansion project.PDPU has 650 students and it is planned to double it. The Petroleum University offers courses in Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Management, Solar Energy, Nuclear Energy and liberal Studies. For news in Hindi see our Hindi daily Chaupal Chronicle
