Kheda police have arrested a BJP councilor for bootlegging who was evading arrest for the last 13 years. The councilor Rasik Sodha Parmar was arrested from his farmhouse in Simaliya village near Nadiad.

Police have detained him under the PASA as he was a wanted in various cases of bootlegging in Mehmdabad town and around. His arrest is, however, not linked with the recent hooch tragedy of Ahmedabad which saw more than 150 persons dead.
