The state government will hold Krushi Mahotsav for the winter crops from October 26 to November 7. It will be conducted through ‘shibirs’ in all the talukas of the state.
The government will conduct the ‘shibirs’ in the 251 talukas of the state, which would be a one-day affair. Earlier, these were conducted for two to three days. The target set by the government for each ‘shibir’ is to reach out to at least 1,000 farmers. The state’s farmers, who have made substantial progress in farming, will also be felicitated at the ‘shibirs’.
The Agriculture Management Technology Agency (ATMA) will organise the ‘shibirs’ across the state. Discussions related to Kisan Goshthi, soil health cards, integrated nutrient management, drip irrigation, organic farming, management will be held at the Mahotsav fairs.
