State BJP President Jitubhai Vaghani has been put in a fix as non bailable warrant has been issued against him in a case in 2010. Opposition Congress released details of the case with legal papers.

According to reports Rs. 24 lakh cheque given by Vaghani’s company to a party bounced. As per documents Vaghani is a partner in Eva group of companies. The company purchased a land from Volvo steel in auction by High Court. The land was purchased in august 2010 and later sold to Mumbai based Power novelty for a sum of Rs.10.85 crore. But the deal was cancelled and Eva company had to return Rs. 3 crore which it had taken.

The company issued a cheque of Rs.24 lakh as first instalment but the cheque bounced. A case was filed in lower court and then subsequently in high court. The court issued bailable warrant against Vaghani and two others twice but the state police returned it.

In view of complaints plea the court has now issued non bailable warrant against him. Mumbai police came two days back to Bhavnagar to serve the warrant but Vaghani was not available. Police did panchnama.

Meanwhile, BJP termed this as a conspiracy to defame Vaghani. Party spokesperson said that the matter was resolved and the company had paid Rs.19 lakh cash in lieu of the cheque.
