A special court today found 31 guilty of Sardarpura massacre. 34 persons were burnt alive in Sardarpura in north Gujarat in post Godhra riots in 2002. The sentence of these persons will be announced later.

Japanese electronic major Hitachi has acquired major share in Gujarat based Hi-Rel Electronics to play a greater role in the field of power electronics in India. With this the two companies announced floating of 60:40 joint venture company Hitachi Hi Rel Power Electronics Pvt Ltd at a media conference in Ahmedabad.
