Renowned Jain saint Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj expired yesterday. He was not well for quite some time. The 78 year old Jain saint has large following and is known for his crusade of save cows. He also set up Tapovans at Koba near Ahmedabad and Navsari in south Gujarat.
Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj was a great speaker with charismatic pull. But he never used loudspeaker even if the gathering had more than 25,000 people. His speeches moved young and old alike. Many took vow to stop addition only after listening his public speeches.
Last rites will be performed at Koba Tapovan today evening.
